Frank Comito

Frank Comito has been practicing law in Iowa since l963. He graduated from Drake University Law School.  Frank primary focus was in civil litigation involving plaintiff’s personal injury, insurance defense including personal injury, commercial, malpractice and product’s liability. Frank is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Frank Comito is a certified fellow of the Charter Institute of Arbitrators, London, England, in Iowa.  Frank attained certification in 1996 and has practiced extensively in ADR since that time.  With over forty year’s courtroom experience in civil and criminal cases, he brings a wealth of experience to the ADR process.  He is a fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, and three years was the lead ethics counsel to the Committee on Professional Ethics and Conduct of the Iowa State Bar Association, now known as the Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board. In 2009 Frank was certified as a specialist by the American Academy of ADR Attorneys.  Frank is a frequent lecturer and teacher on mediation and ADR theory and technique.

Frank is often called upon to mediate complex disputes.  He was called upon to act as mediator and arbitrator in the nationwide universal life insurance class action where he resolved the disputes.  Prior to January 2019 Frank has mediated and arbitrated over 2055 cases, in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and Minnesota in various areas of the law including personal injury, malpractice, commercial, probate and product liability.
